The greek verb “taxidhevo”{travel} meant for the ancient greeks “advance towards the worthy ones.”. That’s what exactly happened to the young at the time Ole Nydahl, who set off unsuspicious to live an exotic honeymoon in Nepal along with his sweetheart Hannah. Their tour in the East became the starting point of a far longer travel to knowledge, introspection, self-improvement, offer and creation. A real path to the worthy ones.

From the frozen expanses of Denmark up to the mystic monasteries of the Tibetan lineages. From the conceited quarreling to the affectionate lovingness for all human beings. From the slippery paths of hallucinogens to the blessings and vows of Boddhisatvas. Instead of wasting their lives they entered the Diamond Way of the Karma Kagyu lineage. Only guided by the love binding them and their strong will to seek the truth, Ole and Hannah Nydahl walked along paths other people can only imagine.

ENTERING DIAMONDWAY

Lama Ole Nydahl tells us with animation, sharpness, elegance and a lot of humor about his exciting experiences and adventures he had while spreading the Diamond Way in the West. Using his unique and clear style he also manages to pass on, through the original spiritual tradition he follows, an all-time message of humanism, bliss and awareness.

What is Buddhism today?

How do Buddha’s teachings utilize the potential of our full being?

Through which practices may we experience mind as limitless space and bliss?

How can one use the daily joys and difficulties in one's job, family or partnerships for spiritual growth?

This book is something more than a Buddhist textbook. It is a living transmission of Buddha’s deep wisdom given by a Western Buddhist Master. Through three meditations included in it, the reader is invited to experience the liberating, strong methods of Tibetan Buddhism

THE WAY THINGS ARE

In this book Lama Ole Nydahl gives a detailed illustration of the traditional initial buddhist practices of the Diamond way.

The four basic practices (Tib. Ngondro) include the Refuge Meditation, the Meditation on the Diamond Mind, the Mandala Offerings and the Meditation on the Teacher.

(Guru Yoga).

By repeating the practices the practitioner eliminates all of the disturbing impressions of the body, speech and mind and removes the negative habits.

The Ngondro practice is the base for the ensuing meditations and prepares the way to enlightment.

NGONDRO

In this book Lama Ole Nydahl annotates in a lively and modern way an extremely important old Buddhist text on the nature of mind. The Big seal describes the way and the goal of Buddhist Diamond way and transmits to the reader the deep insight of the relative and absolute reality of our world.

Mahamudra’s view could be compared to the painting of a picture in the water: everything fits momentarily and by nature, but once they appear they fade away. It happens alike with the way of acting of the enlightened: it takes place here and now-beyond expectation and fear-without attachment or repulsion.
